Homework for 12th October [ a paper version is coming in Farhat's lesson ]
BBC Introduction to decimals [ use the fact sheet to remind yourself, then try the worksheet with practice questions and then try the game ].
The Fractions, Decimals and Percentages pages on the BBC Skillswise will be relevant for the next few weeks
The BBC page on Rounding and Estimating will help – try the quiz as a follow up to the lesson today.

Click on this link for a quiz on some of the work we have done up to now.

If you see a yellow bar in the top of the Web browser, you just click on the yellow and select ‘allow blocked content’
The quiz selects 10 questions at random from 20 questions so you get some different questions each time you reload the page
You have 20 minutes to answer the 10 questions! You can still check the answers after the 20 minutes, it just won’t score

Why metric units now? Because of the feedback on your diagnostics and because of the way measuring throws up powers of 10 and multiplying and dividing by 10.
